Assortative Mating and Autism
Time is hyping the assortative-mating theory of autism causation: that people at the higher-functioning end of the spectrum are marrying and passing the genes onto their children. A Time blog post acknowledges that there is scant evidence for the theory. Also note that Simon Baron-Cohen has been musing about this theory for more than six years.
