Rick Santorum's presidential campaign is doing better in recent days. Accordingly, it is worth noting his role in the Combating Autism Act.
Jon Shestack, cofounder of Cure Autism Now -- which merged into Autism Speaks -- cut a spot during Santorum's unsuccessful 2006 Senate reelection campaign. Shestack identified himself as a liberal Democrat but said: "Rick Santorum is the greatest advocate in Congress our kids have ever had -- ever."
